About our Campus

Established in 1961, Yavapai Elementary is a multigenerational community school where families can often be seen walking their children to school.

Nestled near the Vista del Camino Neighborhood Park lake and the City of Scottsdale Softball Complex, Yavapai serves students from Pre-Kindergarten to fifth grade within the Coronado Learning Community.

The school features a traditional brick exterior with large windows in every classroom, offering ample natural light and views of the surrounding greenery. In 2021, the campus underwent a revitalization, refreshing its facilities. Designed with a focus on functionality and security, the campus includes covered walkways for added safety and accessibility.

Additionally, Yavapai boasts a remodeled and modernized library and large cafeteria auditorium for family and community nights, as well as an indoor PE multipurpose room that doubles as a theater for various fine arts performances.

The school also provides access to three separate playgrounds for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten through second grade, and grades three through five.  Yavapai Elementary stands as the hub and heart of the neighborhood, bringing families together and fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness.
